Michael Fisherman is a Partner & Portfolio Manager of Zuckerman Investment Group, an award-winning wealth management firm that specializes in investing and building relationships with multi-generational families, business owners, and young professionals.
Mike leads the firm’s investment research function and is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee, which is responsible for making all investment and portfolio management decisions. He is involved in sourcing, researching, and recommending equity, fixed income, and private investments for Zuckerman Investment Group’s clients.
Since joining the firm in 2013, Mike has built relationships with many of the firm’s new and long tenure clients. Today, Mike leads the relationship management for many of these clients.
With his expansive investment knowledge, passion for the industry, and natural ability to connect with others, Mike was named the firm’s first non-family partner in 2022.
Prior to joining Zuckerman investment Group, Mike worked at multiple investment management firms in New York. He was a Senior Analyst at Surveyor Capital division of the Citadel Investment Group and worked in investment management roles at the Galleon Group and Unicom Capital.
Mike received a Bachelor of General Studies with concentrations in Economics and History from the University of Michigan.
He lives in the Chicagoland area with his wife and three children. He is also the head coach of his son’s baseball team.
