Job Description

Zuckerman Investment Group is looking for a highly motivated, experienced individual to join our Wealth Management Team. This position is a unique, newly created opportunity to participate in the expansion of an established firm. A strong candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, impeccable judgment, exceptional organization skills and experience cultivating relationships through superior client service.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalized and proactive financial counseling services for 50-100 high net worth clients
  • Manage client relationships and ensure long term retention through regular communication to review portfolio strategy, account activity and performance
  • Lead, manage and hold accountable the internal client team and prioritize open client requests
  • Work with the Portfolio Manager to implement and monitor client asset allocations and investment strategies
  • Grow your client base through client and COI (Center of Influence) referrals
  • Develop and mentor the associate advisors

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of wealth management experience. RIA experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • CFP® designation or similar advanced industry certification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Our firm operates the Zuckerman family office from within the company, as the family members are also clients of the firm. We are looking for a highly motivated and detail oriented individual to coordinate the affairs of the Zuckerman family office. For the right individual, the ultimate career path for the Family Office Accountant could including working with the head of the family office to perfect and expand our family office offering, then implement and execute the family office experience across additional multi-generational family clients of the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage tax knowledge and experience to provide advice to high net worth individuals
  • Coordinate with lawyers, trustees, accountants, and other external advisors to support the family’s tax and estate planning initiatives and oversee the implementation
  • Facilitate the preparation of complex family office tax returns by a third-party accounting firm
  • Prepare simple individual and trust income tax returns in house
  • Oversight of family assets and cash flow needs, including investment accounts, properties, trusts and other interests.
  • Produce comprehensive financial reporting of family accounts

  • Assist in developing and expanding our digital marketing presence, including providing support in the design, production, and distribution of educational and marketing content

We are looking for a seasoned professional who is a detail oriented, self starter to join our team and manage our human resources department. The right individual will run our recruiting and benefits programs, develop, manage and coordinate human resource policies, programs and procedures to maximize company efficiency and enhance employee satisfaction. Responsibilities

  • Manage a human resources department including recruiting, payroll, and benefits.
  • Lead the recruiting, hiring and integration of employees, including running our college recruiting program as well maintaining relationships with recruiters coordinating searches for more advanced positions.
  • Manage policy development and documentation (employee handbook revision and restructuring)

  • Update, gather and distribute data related to clients’ tax and estate reporting needs
