Daniel is Zuckerman Investment Group’s President & Chief Executive Officer and a voting member of the firm’s Investment Committee, which is responsible for making all investment and portfolio management decisions.
As President & Chief Executive Officer, Daniel is responsible for setting the firm’s strategic direction and ensuring the firm’s unique and proven approach to financial counseling and asset management is exemplified by the firm’s culture and strengthened by the firm’s strategic direction.
In addition to his investment and executive leadership roles, Daniel leads the firm’s financial counseling practice and is deeply involved with multiple generations of the firm’s long-tenured clients.
Daniel founded Zuckerman Investment Group with Sherwin in 2005. Prior to founding Zuckerman Investment Group, Daniel was an Officer at LaSalle Bank in a leveraged finance division.
Daniel received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Daniel is a CFA® charterholder and a member of Young Presidents’ Organization. In addition, he serves on the AJC Chicago Board and on the Advisory Committee for Invest for Kids.
