ZIG Welcomes David Frank

 

Zuckerman Investment Group expanded its growing firm with the hire of Senior Investment Analyst, David Frank.

In his role at Zuckerman Investment Group, he is responsible for assisting in making investment and portfolio management decisions. As a member of Zuckerman Investment Group’s investment team, he sources, researches, and recommends equity, fixed income and closed-end fund investments.

David started off his career in asset management at Holland Capital in 1998 where he spent four years as an analyst covering a range of large and mid-sized stocks. In 2002, David transitioned to Columbia Wanger Asset Management, a leading specialist in smaller capitalization global equities. Throughout his 18 years at Wanger, David met with hundreds of management teams and travelled around the country researching companies. At peak, he had direct oversight of roughly $2bb of investments in financials, housing, and transport stocks. In 2014, David was named the number two manager for the firm’s flagship Acorn fund, a pioneer in small cap investments.

David lives in the Roscoe Village neighborhood with his wife and two teenage sons. As a former literature major, he enjoys reading classic novels along with working on his rudimentary chess skills and attempting to train for triathlon events.

David received a Bachelor of Arts with honors in Literature at Yale University and his MBA with honors from the University of Chicago. He received his CFA designation in 2001.
